Wang Xu

Wang Xu graduated from the Design Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1979. He had been working in Hong Kong as a graphic designer from 1986 and until 1995 he came back to Guangzhou and founded his studio wx-design.

Wang is member of Alliance Graphique Internationale, and overseas member of Tokyo TDC. He is professor of Hunan University, design director of Guangdong Museum of Art, curator of OCT-LOFT Creative Festival 07, 08.

Wang Xu has received more than 100 international design awards.

He has also judged at international competitions such as the 80th and 84th ADC Annual Awards (New York), International Biennale of Graphic Design Brno, International Competition Poster, Graphic Arts Festival of Chaumont, Tokyo TDC Awards 2005 and the 9th Tehran International Poster Biennial 2007.

Wang has given lectures and speeches on many occasions. He has been featured in various publications, and his works has been exhibited in more than 20 overseas’ cities and collected in many museums outside the country.

1979毕业于广州美术学院设计系。1986-1995年于香港任职平面设计师。1995年创建王序设计公司。

王序是国际平面设计联盟、东京字体指导俱乐部海外会员；湖南大学教授、广东美术馆设计总监。OCT-LOFT 07、 08两届创意节策展人。

王序曾获得了100多项国际设计奖项。

他应邀在多个国际设计赛事中担任评委，包括第80、84届纽约艺术指导俱乐部年奖、捷克布尔诺国际平面设计双年展、法国肖蒙国际海报与平面艺术节、2005年东京字体指导俱乐部奖、2007年第九届德黑兰国际海报双年展等。

王序多次应邀为国际设计会议及活动担任演讲嘉宾。他曾被多种国际专业书籍与刊物所介绍，其作品在海外20多个城市/地区展出，并被海外多家博物馆所收藏。
